Primary Submissions

• The first thing that you need to fill out is an application form for Princeton online. It can be either a Common Application or a Coalition Application form. 

• Next, if you want to apply for a fee waiver, you can do so while filling out the application form. There are two ways of doing so. You can either:

1. Select the fee waiver option on the application form and get it approved by your school counselor online.
2. You can choose any one of the fee waiver options available on the Princeton Supplement. For this, you do not require approval from your counselor.

• You also need to submit an additional Graded Written Paper to Princeton. This can be any paper written by you in the last three years of your school which has been graded by your school teacher. Although Princeton welcomes Graded papers from all subject areas, it will work in your favor if the paper is written in subjects of History or English. While there is no word limit for the graded paper, you should try to accommodate your write-up within two pages.

• As a potential Princeton applicant, you are required to submit the Princeton Supplement. The Princeton Supplement is where you can show the admission officers who you are outside your mark sheets.

Test Scores Submissions

• Although Princeton does not require SAT or ACT scores as a compulsory criterion to seek admission, if you have taken the exam and are willing to submit your results, you may do so. Send your Princeton SAT scores directly to the university. Use code 2672 for SAT and 2588 for the ACT.

• If you have taken any language tests such as TOEFL/IELTS/PTE, you can submit your scores directly to Princeton University at code 2672 (TOEFL). You should not that not everyone is required to take this test. If English is your native language or if you have been schooled for at least three years with English as your first medium of instruction, then you need not take the language test.

Other Submissions

Princeton allows you to submit your work in the fields of art, creative writing, performance arts, music, etc. If you think you have an excellent performance in any of these fields and would like to showcase your work to the admissions committee, you are welcome to do so after you have submitted your application. 

Counselor Recommendation & School Documents

• To place a successful common application at Princeton, you need to ‘invite’ your school counselor to submit your school report and counselor recommendation. In case you are applying for the coalition application, kindly invite your school counselor to upload both of these forms. 

• Your school counselor is also required to submit your middle year school report form on the website. 

• Princeton requires you to submit 2 teacher recommendation letters as part of your application process. These teachers should have taught you at your higher levels. Your chosen teachers should belong in any of the core subject areas of Math, English, Social Science, Foreign language, Humanities or Natural sciences.
