The Starting Point

When Vaikhari joined College Catapult, she already had something powerful: conviction. She cared deeply about mental health as it was real issue affecting real people around her. What she needed was clarity. How do you turn advocacy into impact? How do you connect mental health leadership to Economics and Finance? How do you present depth without sounding scattered?
That’s where the work began.

Building a Profile With Direction

Instead of adding more activities, we focused on amplifying what mattered.

Defining her core theme

Together, we sharpened her narrative around:

  • Mental Health Leadership

  • Policy & Community Impact

  • Youth Thought Leadership

Everything she did moving forward strengthened this arc.

Scaling Impact Over Effort

She:

  • Founded and led Aatman, a nationally recognized youth mental health initiative

  • Organized “PsychSpace”, a 300+ attendee mental health conference

  • Delivered mental health sessions to 500+ tribal youth during her internship in the office of former MP Bharati Pawar

  • Conducted 20+ health awareness seminars

Elevating to National & International Recognition

With focused positioning and application strategy, her work gained visibility:

  • Youngest Speaker at the Mentor Together Mentoring Summit 2024

  • Represented Ashoka in a national conversation on leadership

  • Received endorsement from the Indian Academy of Paediatrics for Aatman

  • Nominated as 1 of 6 Indian students for Google’s Gen Z Research Project

How College Catapult Made the Difference

Vaikhari didn’t need more random extracurriculars.
She needed structure and positioning.
We helped her create more depth on the things she was passionate about

Here’s what we focused on:

Strategic Profile & Narrative Building

We helped her connect mental health advocacy to her interest in Economics + Finance showing how policy, funding systems, and scalable models can transform public health.

Application Positioning

Every essay reinforced one theme: Impact-driven leader who understands systems and wants to improve them.

Depth Over Noise

We removed distractions and refined the messaging. Making her applications feel intentional.
