UIC SAT Requirements

Most colleges in the United States require SAT scores or scores or other standardized tests as part of your application. These test scores help the admissions team to review all the applicants against one baseline, as school grades alone are not enough since they are affected by so many factors. However, many colleges have made standardized test scores optional in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

UIC SAT Test Policy

The UIC SAT policy is ’test-optional’ for the admissions cycle of 2022-23. Applicants may submit an SAT or ACT score if they wish, but these scores are not required. According to the university website, “If you have taken the SAT or ACT, and you feel that your test scores adequately reflect your abilities, we encourage you to send them to us and to not select a test-optional review. If you have not taken the exams, or if you are concerned that your scores do not reflect your academic preparation for college, you have the option to select a test-optional review.”
