Tufts is Test-Optional
Tufts has been test-optional since the admissions cycle of 2020-21. This means that your Tufts SAT and ACT scores are no longer required as part of your application. The students who choose not to submit their test scores will not be at a disadvantage to other Tufts applicants as a result of this policy. However, the college will accept the test scores for those students who want to include SAT or ACT scores as part of their applications to Tufts. According to the university website, “Our holistic, committee-based approach to application review provides us with the flexibility to evaluate academic and extracurricular accomplishments within a student’s individual context. We do not require SAT Subject Tests, the SAT Essay, or the writing section of the ACT and will not consider them in our process.”
