You can expect to receive your SAT results around 2 weeks from your initial test date. The exact timelines may vary according to your exact SATdates due to the volume of candidates on each individual test day but 13 days is a good rule of thumb if you’re planning ahead.

SAT dates are usually given on a Saturday and SAT results are usually given on the 2nd Friday after your test date. However, summer test dates (June dates) usually take longer at 5 weeks, due to a large number of test takers at this time so be sure to check your SAT dates closely depending on your own schedule.

If you take your test on a school date (instead of Saturday), you can expect your SAT results to take a little longer, generally between 21-28 days after your exam.

SAT Alternatives for Teens

The SATs are a great way for you to demonstrate your ability and skills to your dream schools through your applications, but a lot of institutions are heading away from the SATs into a “test-optional” application. Universities are currently looking for experience over grades, and proof of concept over memorized theories and this presents an opportunity to improve your CV without the SATs through work experience, entrepreneurship and internships.

A program that could benefit you in this quest is Clever Harvey’s JuniorMBA. With courses in Marketing, Strategy and Technology amongst others, you can test drive a career in your dream field and prove to your university that you have what it takes to make it on-site. With a combined learning-working experience, you’ll learn degree-level theory at a high school level understanding and work on projects for industry leaders like PUMA and Samsonite. The exposure is great for your own growth and understanding as well as for your CV when applying for colleges! Check out Clever Harvey here.
