The SAT Exams are held 5 times a year in India in the months of March, May, August, October and December. This is lesser than the number of times it is held for US Students, and the tests have a larger gap between them, so knowing the dates can help you plan better.

SAT Result Dates 2022-23 for Indian Students
If you had taken your SATs in the year 2021, your results should have been released by now. Though in India, since the SAT Exams will go digital in 2023, the results can be expected within a few days. CollegeBoard shares your scores with your choice of Universities within 10 days of releasing the scores.
What is the SAT Exam Late Registrations?
In case you are not able to meet application deadlines, there are late registration dates you can consider. These allow students to sign up after the initial registration period has closed. Late registration follows the same process as regular registration but costs an extra $30 (in addition to the standard registration fees). SAT late registration isn’t available to international students however and has certain limitations like location choice, etc so for a student applying from India, it is important to meet the initial deadlines.
Can I change my SAT Exam application?
Although international students aren’t allowed Late Registrations, they can make changes to their application by the aforementioned change deadlines. Depending on the type of change, there may be a fee to incur, but changing your date is generally cheaper than re-registering for the SAT on another day.
SAT Changes without fees include:

Deadline: No later than 8 p.m. ET on the Monday five days prior to your test date. - Photo

How to apply for the SAT Exam and choose SAT Exam Dates?
In order to choose your SAT Exam Date, you must meet the deadline for that specific date. SAT registration deadlines fall approximately five weeks before each test date.
You can Register online on the College Board website. The application process usually takes 30 minutes, but can be started, paused and completed later.
- Decide which SAT Exam date you want to register for.
- Create your College Board account. (This must be done by you, not a parent or counsellor).
- Fill out your application form, with your full legal name, birthdate and other information. It’s very important that this information matches that on your Photo ID (like your Passport, etc.)
- Choose a test centre location and the SAT Exam dates that work for you.
- Upload your photo (it must meet the specific requirements.)
- Check out and print your admissions ticket.

FAQs- SAT Exam Dates in India
What Photo ID is approved for the SAT in India?
– a valid passport with your name, photograph, and signature,
– or a valid Aadhaar card with your name and photograph.
The only exception to this policy is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC), which may be used instead of a passport.
Is Sunday Testing available in India?
There is no Sunday Testing available for the SAT in India.
Why won’t I be allowed to take the SAT?
– The information on your admission ticket doesn’t match your Photo ID.
– The Photo doesn’t meet the requirements
– You submitted registration changes after the deadline.
– You cancelled your test registration before test day.
What if I’m sick on my SAT exam date?
You must wear a face covering (mask) for your SAT exam. You will be asked about your health prior to entering the testing facility. If you are sick on the test day, stay home. You won’t be charged a change or cancellation fee if you stay home due to illness.
Can I take the SAT exam online 2022?
As of now, the SAT is not available to be taken online. It is only offered as a physical in-person exam at approved testing centres by the college board. Although, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the college board did have plans to conduct online SATs in Fall 2020 in which in-person testing wasn’t possible, but this never saw fruition as they later announced in July 2020 that all upcoming SATs would be held in-person only.
The College Board is rumoured to be considering an online version of the test but has not confirmed the same officially.
