  • You should make sure that you have completed your 10+2 coursework in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with an overall average score of 50%.
  • You must complete a B.Sc. in aviation at an institution accepted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in order to obtain a commercial pilot license.

(i) How to become a Pilot after 10th

As per the requirements, you must finish your 10+2 before enrolling in an aviation study. Although after you finish grade 10, you have a variety of open-enrollment choices. After the tenth grade, many flying schools offer instruction for the 10+2 course. So that you can submit your admissions application to the institution for 12th-grade completion. For admission to these institutions, you must pass certain selection processes like pilot aptitude tests and medical exams, among others.

(ii) How to become a Pilot after 12th

Follow the below-given information to become a Pilot in India:

  1. The candidate must have finished their 12th-grade year with math and physics courses, or they must pursue those areas through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). They can pursue the same issues as independent candidates through state bodies. The minimum age should be 17 years old.
  1. A commercial pilot’s medical fitness would be evaluated which should be one eye should have excellent vision (6/6), whereas the other eye may have correctable abnormalities. The student should not be suffering from any mental disorder or have a history of mental illness.
  1. Any pilot training facility will conduct a Pilot aptitude test, which consists of a written examination, an aptitude test, and an interview. Candidates who pass the above-mentioned exams will be admitted to their preferred pilot training college.
  1. Candidates who have never flown before will receive basic CPL training. The entire pilot training process will last 15 to 18 months. Candidates for commercial pilot must have completed 200 hours of flight time. These flight hours will include instrument time, night flying, and the pilot in command.
  1. To get the CPL, students must apply for the DGCA exam, which must be passed with a 70% mark (Commercial Pilot License). It is the point at which one must begin applying for airline jobs.
  1. You can acquire an ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License), which requires 1500 hours of flight time.
