Florida State University SAT Policy

Florida State University requires all first year applicants to submit at least one ACT or SAT score. While many other colleges have gone test optional, FSU is governed by the Florida Board of Governors, and this in accordance with their policy. Florida State does not require the optional ACT writing score or the optional SAT essay. Students are allowed to self-report their SAT or ACT scores, however they will be required to submit official scores if admitted.
