Job Roles

The industry in which event managers work determines their classification. Private, corporate, and charity/social fundraising events are the three types of events. An event planner specializes in one of these types of events and caters to that industry exclusively. For example, wedding planners only handle wedding ceremonies and not corporate functions. Here are some examples of event managers:

  • Wedding Planner

They plan weddings by deciding on the colour scheme, venue, dresses, guest list, catering, and invitation cards, among other things, within the wedding budget that you have set. When you are thinking about getting married but are unsure of how to proceed, they are the ones who will take charge of everything and make your dream wedding a reality.

Wedding Planners earn a lot of money as India’s wedding industry is the largest in the world. These event planners only plan private events like Weddings and Receptions.

  • Event Coordinator

An event coordinator is a person who is behind running the show without any dysfunctions. We all have a friend in our group who is excellent at organizing and coming up with new and innovative ways to do things when we are under a lot of pressure; these are the people who are best suited for a career in this profession.

An event coordinator is responsible for ensuring that everything is in its proper place and that everyone arrives on time.

  • Event Planner

An event planner differs from an event coordinator in that they are more involved in guiding the team through the execution of the event as planned by the planner. An event planner plans, designs, and budgets for the implementation of the plan.

They choose the venue, how things will be decorated, what items will be used for decoration, and who will be involved like which vendors and caterers in the event to help carry out the plan.
