Career path for becoming a Banker

Path 1

  • Complete your 12th grade from any stream although commerce would be an ideal choice. 
  • Complete a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as banking, finance, or economics.
  • Prepare and clear for a Banking Exam like SBI PO or IBPS PO.

Path 2

  • Complete your 12th grade in the Commerce Stream.
  • Complete a BBA in finance, BMS or BFA, and other programmes.
  • Consider pursuing an MBA in banking or finance.

Path 3

  • Complete your 12th grade in any subject, though commerce is a good choice.
  • After you complete a bachelor’s in banking-related subjects. 
  • Consider completing a certification like Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and other titles available.
